One note to break me

I need the first note
It is my will
It is my pride
And this is breaking me
To softly embrace this passion
To have this dream
To only hold this back
It’s breaking me at the seams
I am not myself
I cannot be me
Because I must hold back my breath
I must hold back my sound
Because I convinced myself a fear within me
Because I didn’t break this storm to begin with
The first note will crush me
But deep inside it is crushing me more deeply anyways
Holding me back from everything I love and hold dear
Holding me from myself and being me
If I could only sing in front of you
You would see a side of me you never knew
A side you would cherish and love
A side that you know I hold away from the world
A side that is masked with the timid girl who thinks she cannot sing
I cannot sing in your presence
It’s killing me now
More than ever
After that one note to spell will be broken
But how do I get to that point
Where I built up this wall
I built up this cadence that has so much grandeur in the stars
On why I cannot sing that is so hard to go back
If I caught it early we would have been past this
But now alas
I must see my wretched fate in the hardest regard now
And after this one note I will have broken the spell to cure your heart
And give you bliss evermore that you’ve been waiting for
