Well, not exactly recently, but I always have a list of good books... well, if you like my kind of reading anyway... which generally is lots of fantasy fiction type stuffs... You might not like it, I dunno. But whatever! ^^;
One of my favorite authors is Scott Westerfeld... he wrote the Uglies Trilogy (which I have yet to finish), the Midnighters Trilogy (one of my favorite), "So Yesterday", "Peeps", and a couple of other good books. :3
Uuum... Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series is pretty good for fantasy romance. Unless you're completely opposed to werewolves and vampires :P (if you don't like vampires, avoid Westerfeld's Peeps, too. It's a different take on vampires.)
Melinda Metz's "Raven's Point" is an excellently creepy story, in my opinion. Only really "scary" novel I've ever read, I suppose. ^^; But I liked it. :3
Aaand... hmm. Oh, Ayn Rand's "Anthem" was good too. We had to read that in English. I was one of the few who got it right away and loved it. >.>; Ran out and bought the book nearly the next day. ^^;

So yeah. I dunno what kind of books other people like to read, but... those are some of my favorites off the top of my head. ^^

I loved "Anthem" so much that I ended up buying myself a copy. Happened with "To Kill A Mocking Bird" as well...

I think I was one of the few who didn't love "To Kill A Mocking Bird".. The story line wasn't bad, but it felt kinda.. I dunno, dry, to me.. Mm, must just be me. *laughs*
