Not many for sure!
Mostly because, if it's sleeting, or hailing, or monsooning outside, no one wants to hear it because ruining days is not fun. |

I have found it is much more interesting to talk about the weather in a language other than your own. It feels like it matters more or something. _________________ Everywhere I go I find that a poet has been there before me.

Oh definitely. If you can say "It's sunny" or something in another language, it sounds way more important than in your native tongue. Same with other useless phrases. I say "I'm tired" or "I don't know" in French much more often than I do in English. XD It sounds cooler that way. _________________ ~If it hurts to look back and it frightens you to look forward, just look beside you and I will be there.~ |

Gah, I mix French in with my English constantly- and my sister does the same with Spanish. Somehow we still know exactly what the other is talking about.
From now on I dub this thread the "let's say mundane things in other languages thread"!

Vraiment? Je n'aime pas beaucoup de la neige... un peu, quelquefois, mais... mm... pas beaucoup. Je ne sais pas. Je ne devrais pas habiter a New England si je n'aime pas la neige, non? XD
That was probably way off... hopefully you'll get the gist of it. XD But I love sprinkling my conversations with French. Haha. And if I get songs stuck in my head, I automatically seem to translate them to French by mistake. Oh yeah. "Pere Noel viendra en ville..." XD Je ne sais pas... ^^;
[And Lilith - stop abusin yer powers and post yer self! :P silly]
Lilith - NEVAR! XD
[You know what? Eleison's gonna have to take away yer powers :P You can't handle them.] _________________ ~If it hurts to look back and it frightens you to look forward, just look beside you and I will be there.~

Dear Lilith, use your mod powers for justice only please. Love, C-chan.
Meanwhile: J'adore le neige! I am a December baby and a New Englander to my core and take delight in every snowfall.
This is probably because I do not drive. _________________ Everywhere I go I find that a poet has been there before me.

*laughs* Yeah, I haven't gone driving enough to brave snow yet. ^^; Only the day after snowstorms. When the roads are clear..er.
La neige est... o.k, mais, j'aime l'automne plus que l'hiver. Peut-etre parce que j'ai nee en Octobre? Hihihi. Probablement. _________________ ~If it hurts to look back and it frightens you to look forward, just look beside you and I will be there.~ |
