"Talking About The Weather"

Honestly, who does THAT anymore?
Lilith

Not many for sure!

Mostly because, if it's sleeting, or hailing, or monsooning outside, no one wants to hear it because ruining days is not fun.
eleison

I have found it is much more interesting to talk about the weather in a language other than your own. It feels like it matters more or something.
Intricate_Icicle2197

Oh definitely. If you can say "It's sunny" or something in another language, it sounds way more important than in your native tongue. Same with other useless phrases. I say "I'm tired" or "I don't know" in French much more often than I do in English. XD It sounds cooler that way.
eleison

Gah, I mix French in with my English constantly- and my sister does the same with Spanish. Somehow we still know exactly what the other is talking about.

From now on I dub this thread the "let's say mundane things in other languages thread"!

Il ne neige pas, je suis triste.
Lilith

Mmmmmmm *kisses the icicle*
Intricate_Icicle2197

Vraiment? Je n'aime pas beaucoup de la neige... un peu, quelquefois, mais... mm... pas beaucoup. Je ne sais pas. Je ne devrais pas habiter a New England si je n'aime pas la neige, non? XD

That was probably way off... hopefully you'll get the gist of it. XD But I love sprinkling my conversations with French. Haha. And if I get songs stuck in my head, I automatically seem to translate them to French by mistake. Oh yeah. "Pere Noel viendra en ville..." XD Je ne sais pas... ^^;

[And Lilith - stop abusin yer powers and post yer self! :P silly]

Lilith - NEVAR! XD

[You know what? Eleison's gonna have to take away yer powers :P You can't handle them.]
eleison

Dear Lilith, use your mod powers for justice only please. Love, C-chan.

Meanwhile: J'adore le neige! I am a December baby and a New Englander to my core and take delight in every snowfall.

This is probably because I do not drive.
Intricate_Icicle2197

*laughs* Yeah, I haven't gone driving enough to brave snow yet. ^^; Only the day after snowstorms. When the roads are clear..er.

Lilith

No fair.

You did tell me to experiment though!
Intricate_Icicle2197

OUAIS! Ils sont treees lent et énervent!
Mais, je peux les éviter beacoup de les temps.. mm.. Peu importe.

(And Lilith, I don't think invading my posts is what she meant by 'expirement' :P)
eleison

What I meant was to see what the powers are, not to break common rules of etiquette, dearie. Mods should be knights/protectors of the realm and all that 'on the side of justice' stuff. Keep this in mind in the future, alright?
Lilith

Okee, but can I put kisses and hugs in posts? To 'spread the love' ?
eleison

You can comment with   and   and   and   and other such sillies/lovies, but please refrain from posting them within other people's posts. 'Tis a matter of privacy and respect.
Lilith

Ok.
eleison

There there... all is forgiven.

Except that we SOOOO are lacking a band-aid emote.
Lilith

That we are! That we are!
eleison

If anyone finds a good band-aid emote send me the image and I will add it to our smilies!
Intricate_Icicle2197

OH! Can I try to make a band-aid emote? And then I could post it on DA and you could link it... perhaps... Je ne sais pas.
eleison

That may just work! Do give it a try.
