I wrote this today, so it is definately up for refining. And, yeah, autobiographical content, but please, let's keep it prefessional. Pretend it is just a random poem by some dead guy you know nothing about and rip it to shreads!

The Sun

she told me she knew
that look in your eye
from other mens' faces
personal experiance

I cannot say that I noticed
looking directly at it
the object of my affections
is like looking into the sun

better done sidelong
for fear of it
and the warmth it might

return
